44 countries will compete at World Senior Championships

The third edition of World Senior Championships will be staged at Dream Bowl Palace in Unterföhring, Europe's largest bowling center equipped with 52 Brunswick lanes, and will set new participation records. 273 bowlers - 163 men and 110 women - from 44 countries will bowl for medals in five disciplines: Singles, Doubles, Team (4-player), All Events and Masters.


29 countries including the host country Germany will represent the European Tenpin Bowling Federation (ETBF). Eleven countries belong to the Pan American Bowling Confederation (PABCON) while Asian Bowling Federation (ABF) is represented by four delegations.


A few defending champions will compete in Germany: Singles Champions Andrew Frawley (AUS), and Kristina Nordenson (SWE), Masters Champion Susanne Olsson (SWE), and Doubles Champions Nicolas Ruis / Julio Soto from Colombia. Parker Bohn III will have his first appearance in the US Senior Team together with Bob Learn Jr, Lennie Boresch, Ron Mohr who won the gold medal in 2015. Tish Johnson is the only member of gold medal team 2015 returning, her team mates will be Leanne Hulsenberg, Carolyn Dorin-Ballard and Lynda Barnes.


The Lane Map Guide and the specific Lane Pattern will be presented at the Team Managers Meeting on 13th August. Official Practice is staged on 14th August as well as Opening Ceremony. Singles will be the first discipline and will go underway on 15th and 16th August.


The competitions will be broadcasted live and live scoring will be available as well, links will be available here after release.
